In the original example I used a Win 7 pc going to a Win 10 laptop. The laptop no longer has Minecraft, so I can't test it again. It may be possible that the saves folder doesn't appear until a world is made, so if you don't have any worlds on the new computer, you could try to make one and see if the folder pops up after that.
